Wolford scores five touchdowns in 45-20 victory

CUMBERLAND - Madison Wolford scored five times and the Cresaptown Eagles built a 31-0 lead by halftime on its way to a 45-20 bullying of the Keyser Mini-Tornado Sunday afternoon in the Pee Wee Football League championship game at Greenway Avenue Stadium.

Brady Watson scored first on a 12-yard run in the opening quarter before Wolford scored on runs of 27 and three yards as well as returning a interception 30 yards for three second-quarter touchdowns. Ryan Briner added a six-yard run as the Eagles scored 25 points in the big second period.

Keyser got the only points in the third quarter with Garret Clites scoring on touchdown runs of 22 and eight yards. Dylan Hopkins got the Mini-Tornadoes to within 11 at 31-20, but Wolford added a one-yard run and a 30-yard scamper for touchdowns to close out scoring.
